Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” There’s a great risk as Christians to leave the simplicity that is in Christ – by no longer trusting in His Finished Work alone for righteousness, hope, victory, etc. The United States of America is full of churches but the question should be asked, why is our country in the condition that it’s in today?

Well the Bible speaks of those who have a form of Godliness but lack the power of the Holy Spirit (2nd Timothy 3:5). What the world needs is not a mere form of Godliness (church tradition, external religiosity, self-help messages, etc.) but they need power. That power only comes by way of faith in Jesus Christ and the price that He paid. If God’s people want to experience His power once again, they’ve got to come back to the proclamation of the Cross (1st Corinthians 1:18). The state of Michigan really needs the message of the Cross in this day and hour. Faith Worship Center wants to see the lost and Believers walking in the victorious life that God intends for them.
